...or at least we hoped so! Ashlyn had her first talk today in Primary, which is the children's organization at our church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Each Sunday the children meet together and take turns giving prayers, sharing scriptures or giving talks at the podium in front of all the other children. I guess we should just be proud of Ashlyn for making it to the podium, because she refused to share the talk she had rehearsed, in fact she wouldn't even look at the audience. Mommy did a great job giving Ashlyn's talk:) Since this was her first time, we'll have to make it a goal for her next talk to not only go to the podium, but also look at the audience. Then someday Ashlyn will get brave enough to speak into the microphone. Baby steps, until someday she is giving speeches in front of thousands!
Beginning...again?

So proud of Ashlyn! It takes a brave girl to not only walk to the podium but to STAND there as well! Watch her become the next General Relief Society President! I'm going to ask for her autograph now just in case she's too busy when she's famous.
