Our first Kite Flying Adventure!
I do mean adventure! Grandpa and Grandma brought some kites over so Ashlyn and Preston could fly for the first time. We took them over to Stocksdale Park and spent the next hour trying to get them to fly! Dad held the kites, Michelle did the running, over and over again with no luck.
Finally, we thought to re-examine the directions and decided we had put the kites together incorrectly. Amazing, after a few adjustments they took flight with no effort at all. Grandma Walker and Ashlyn are flying theirs (pic above). Michelle is trying to catch her breath in the background from running kites for the last hour!
Aren't they beautiful, especially when they are in the sky. Once we got them up they could have flown for hours, unfortunately, we were already burnt out by they time the kites made it into the air.
Here is the kite flying crew, Henna especially enjoyed running around at the park for a couple of hours while we wrestled kites. Preston even had his own kite to fly, even though he's almost a year old in this picture. Preston enjoyed sitting in the grass watching all the action. Thanks Grandpa and Grandma Walker for the fun!
