Santa needs to check his list more than twice....

Christmas was so exciting this year through the eyes of Ashlyn. Needless to say Preston didn't quite get it, but enjoyed crawling all through the paper and boxes that quickly filled the living room.
Its a good thing Preston is too young to really get into it, because he has some bad luck when it comes to presents! Kendall's sister mailed some toys for Preston and Ashlyn to his parents house prior to Christmas. Apparently when they arrived Kendall's mom discovered that she had already purchased Preston the same set of musical crawling drums that Kendall's sister sent. Luckily she had time to return them and get something else. Unfortunately didn't clue me in, when we arrived Christmas eve at Grandma and Grandpa Walkers to open presents I realized I had also purchased Preston the same drums Kendall's sister sent. The problem being its Christmas Eve, too late to get something else and I had already extracted (and I do mean extracted)the blasted things from their box and wrapped them.
Now we're back home finishing up Santa's wrapping when we discover the other toy we had bought Preston was broken! Preston's poor presents are dropping out fast...Like I said though, he is too young to notice that Ashlyn had twice as many presents to open as he did. Once Santa's elves checked to see that everything else was working, it was off to bed for the much anticipated bright eyes of little ones on Christmas morning.
As we are excitedly going through all the goodies Santa left we discover yet another of Preston's toys that has apparently died overnight, seeing as how they were all working the night before! Now its getting serious, if his toys keep dying he will surely notice he has nothing to open as Ashlyn unwraps box after box.
Luckily he had an activity table that he loved to stand at and push all types of buttons which was still functioning, at this point anyway. You guessed it, in a matter of a few hours some of its buttons stopped working. Poor boy, its a good thing he was equally excited over the boxes, you can always count on them!

That's too funny, and it'll be a great story to share with him when he's older. AND, at least he didn't get a lump of coal. See? There's always a sliver lining. :) All Santa brought for Quinlyn was some diapers. lolol.
